Good news for commuters who’ve been suffering during the Dublin Bus strikes – all strikes have been called off.
According to Independent.ie, strikes are expected to be suspended for the next week.
The next strike was scheduled for Saturday, which would coincide with the All-Ireland final replay between Dublin and Mayo, and would cause even more chaos.

A total increase of 11.25% in the period for Dublin Bus staff. Workers had wanted a 15% increase. Management had offered 8.25%.

The suspension is following the outcome of a ballot on proposals hammered out by management and unions, and now union members are expected to be balloted all over again.
