There’s so much chopping and changing happening in the capital but you never expect all the changes to take place in one restaurant.

This popular establishment on Lower Camden Street shocked a lot of people when it decided to change its name and revamp its menu.

Jerusalem‘ changed its name and menu in October but after a lot of, not negative but constructive criticism, they have decided to switch it back.

It was changed to ‘The Smoked Chili’ and a lot of customers who loved the original felt that the place had gone to mainstream and admitted that they missed their wide range of Mediterranean and vegan options.

They said on Facebook that:

“The people have spoken! After a month long successful run as The Smoked Chili, we decided to give the people what they want. We listen to what our customers want and the choice is unanimous!

“Jerusalem is coming back. we’ll continue as The Smoked Chili until Sunday. Monday we’ll be closed and the reopening of Jerusalem will be Tuesday the 13th!

“Fear not Smoked Chili lovers, as we are still keeping it in mind for the next great venture.”

So if you were a fan of The Smoked Chili, we feel that a pop-up or small restaurant could be on the way but for the moment, Jerusalem has returned to the promised land.
