Leonard Cohen passed away in his sleep after a fall at his home.
The legendary singer died earlier this month at the age of 82 and his manager revealed today that his death was the result of an accident at his Los Angeles home.
“Leonard Cohen died during his sleep following a fall in the middle of the night on November 7. The death was sudden, unexpected and peaceful,” said Robert B Kory.
Cohen's son Adam paid tribute to him earlier this week, remembering his "unique blend of self-deprecation and dignity, his approachable elegance, his charisma without audacity and his old-world gentlemanliness".
"With only immediate family and a few lifelong friends present, he was lowered into the ground in an unadorned pine box, next to his mother and father. Exactly as he’d asked."
