Two Cars In The City Went Up In Flames This Morning

It's thought that the blaze was caused by vandals

Two cars were completely destroyed by fire in Dublin last night.

Gardai are investigating the incident, which occurred at around 5am this morning in Arbour Hill.

One vehicle went on fire outside a house in Palatine Square, with the flames spreading to and gutting a nearby car and causing damage to two houses.

The owner of an 2004 Audi A4 told Independent.ie that he believes his car was set on fire by vandals.

Two units of Dublin Fire Brigade had to attend the scene, along with assistance from ESB Networks to assess heat damage to the meter boxes of the houses.
