We’ve all been told that if there’s a fire, we should close the door behind us.
After seeing these pictures, we can tell how much of a difference that could make.
The Dublin Fire Brigade issued a reminder on Twitter to close all the doors in the event of a fire, including with pictures from a fire today with one side of the door barely affected by the blaze while the other is burnt to a crisp.

A prime example this morning was this fire believed to be caused by an electric blanket.

In the event of a fire keep calm and try to think logically. Closed doors = less damage.
