It’s estimated that around 200 people turned up outside the doors of the Woman’s Centre on Berkeley Street in Dublin 7 yesterday to protest false advertisement and misinformation relating to abortion being distributed by the centre.
The crisis pregnancy counselling centre has been revealed to be advising its clients that abortion leads to breast cancer. In addition to this, they’ve also been informing them that the women who have abortions turn into child abusers in later life.
The news came to light when a journalist from The Times carried out undercover research at the clinic. They also discovered that the clinic has a direct link to a Catholic anti-abortion group.
The protest commenced yesterday around 6.30pm and was dotted with ‘Repeal’ jumpers and t-shirts. The protesters also carried placards.
