This Unexpected Dublin Spot Was The Hottest Place In The Country This Month

katedemolder

Dublin experienced one hell of a heatwave earlier this month when temperatures soared, giving us the Leaving Cert weather we were all craving back in June.

Previous records were deemed smashed, as the country experienced highs of 26°C and 27°C across the country.

But on June 21, the highest air temperature in the country was recorded, when the mercury rose to a whopping 28.6°C, in none other than Dublin’s Phoenix Park.

This was the highest temperature recorded in the park since 1961.

Absolute scorcher.

We know where we’re heading for the next heatwave!
