A very smart man once told me that “you’ll never be lost when you’ve got music”, and that has remained true for my whole life.
Sometimes you can stumble across a band or a piece of music that really sticks with you and this is definitely one of those times.
Introducing The FitzaFrenic, an Irish band that you might have seen drawing huge crowds as they busk across the city centre. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to stumble across them playing, you’ll know why they cause huge traffic jams on Grafton Street – people just don’t want to leave!
They are an edgy ska-rock four piece, consisting of Conor on vocals and saxophone, Cian on lead guitar and backing vocals, Gordon on bass guitar and Philip rocking out on drums.
They recently managed to fund their newest studio album, so we’re waiting eagerly for it to drop, but they’ve given us a little teaser of what’s to come with the single Wandering Souls.
Take a listen for yourself…
Like what you hear? Us too!
The good news is that you can catch them in Whelans on May 11, and it isn’t a gig you want to miss.
Tickets are just €10 and you can buy your tickets here.
See you there!
