7 Quick And Yummy Breakfasts To Make Before Work

Breakfast is and always will be the most important meal of the day – even if others don’t treat it as so.

Sure enough, we’re all busy people and don’t think we have the time or resources to get that proper feed in the morning. 

But then we end up starvin’ all the way ’til lunch, and gorge on something unhealthy in excess. So in order to avoid this, the key is to prioritise a filling and satisfying breakfast, even when we’re on the go. 

Here are some delish ideas…

1. Smoked salmon and avocado toast

I personally prefer savoury over sweet every time, and smoked salmon genuinely sounds amazing at any hour of the day. 

All you need here is your fresh smoked salmon, avocado, bread, lemon, and anything else you’d like to top it off with.

It takes literally 5 minutes, and it has the protein and carbs to fill you up for hours.

2. Overnight oats

All this requires is a little bit of prep the night before, and you’re good to go. Overnight oats have the proper nutrients to give you the boost you need to get the day going. 

Don’t like raspberries? Love granola? No problem – add and subtract ingredients to customise your oats just how you like ’em.

3. Chocolate spinach smoothie

I would never think to put chocolate and spinach together, but this recipe completely masks the veggies. We all know how good the greens are for us, so why not start off the day with a dose?

Cocoa powder is also known to have incredible antidepressant effects and antioxidants – just what we need in the morning!

And the best part? It’ll be blended and in your cup in less than 5 minutes.

4. Breakfast greens with eggs

I absolutely love eggs. This is my go-to breakfast, as you can keep it simple with greens and eggs, or pile on more veg, flavours and textures.

I often add avocado, onions, mushrooms, cheese, salsa… whatever’s in the fridge, really.

5. PB&J waffle sandwich 

For all the sweet tooths out there, here’s a healthy option to kick-start your morning with a quick and satisfying meal. It’s essentially 3 simple ingredients, unless you fancy adding more to your creation.

Cook time: 5 minutes and it tastes unreaaaaal.

6. Blueberry banana oatmeal 

Here’s a 3-minute recipe that you can even take on the go. It’s hard to believe it’s a healthy start to the day, as it actually tastes like cake. 

All you need is a microwave and a few simple ingredients.

7. Goat cheese and strawberry toast

Who knew strawberries, goat cheese, edamame and balsamic would mix so well? 

While the toast is toasting, I suggest pouring the balsamic over the strawberries in a separate bowl, to avoid the bread getting soggy. 

Spread a generous serving of all ingredients over your toast, and take it on the go.

Easy.
