There's nothing worse than being in desperate need of coffee but having no change in your wallet.

Luckily, some of our favourite cafés have now caught on to this eternal struggle and are making it much easier for you to get your daily fix of caffeine - without counting up your 5c coins or enduring that awkward silence as you wait for your chip and pin payment to go through.

1. Dolce Sicily 

This Dawson Street spot serves delicious sweet treats and great coffee to go with them. The interior is very kitsch and cute too.

2. KC Peaches

You can pay with contactless at their Nassau Street and Dame Street locations, which is very handy for a quick coffee or one of their delish salad boxes.

3. Yogism

Nestled away inside George's Street Arcade is the frozen yoghurt specialist, Yogism. If you guess the weight of your froyo creation correctly, then it's on the house!

Unfortunately, they don't have this offer on their coffee too.

4. Kaph

If you're working anywhere between the IFSC and O'Connell Street area, then Roasted Bean is a great shout for coffee and sandwiches that will fill you for the day!

Surrounded by Georgian-style architecture, you can enjoy your coffee and feel the stress drain away at this North Great George's Street hideaway.

This little spot on Molesworth Street is one of our favourites and they always have a few interesting blends to choose from.

An artisan creperie located on Lower Drumcondra Road, this is the perfect place to indulge in something sweet or try some amazing freshly-baked bread.

This lovely café aims to provide a spiritual experience for those in the Ringsend area. There's plenty of colourful outdoor seating for those rare sunny days too.

Widely recognised as one of the best spots in Dublin for coffee, you get yourself through the afternoon slump with a tap of a card!

This bright and airy café in Smithfield is the perfect place to relax with a coffee, a newspaper and take some time out.
