House-hunting? Things just got a lot more interesting.
For First-Time Buyers looking for their dream home, there's usually a two-pronged approach to the task. You can either choose your ideal location, or your ideal house - and after that, it's about making it work. After all, finding both is rare when you're just getting on the ladder.
But what if we told you that there's a brand new development of exceptional quality housing in one of the most desirable Dublin commuter towns? You'd be interested, right?
Dún Ríoga is a 142 unit first time buyer development located in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath - a growing satellite town which is attracting large numbers of new home buyers due to its proximity to Dublin and excellent transport links to the city.
The brand new development of 3 and 4 bedroom homes located in the heart of Dunshaughlin were designed by award winning architects O'Mahony Pike and are being developed by Castlethorn.
These A-Rated homes will be built to the highest standard - offering first-class design and specifications to each homeowner.
Comprising an attractive mix of house-styles, Dún Ríoga will appeal to a wide variety of purchasers including First Time Buyers and growing families alike.
Here's six reasons that this location is attracting so many first-time buyers.
1. It's incredibly well-connected
Perfectly located for busy commuters – Dún Ríoga is a short drive to the M3 which will take you to the M50 in 15 minutes or on to Dublin City Centre in under 45 minutes.
The M3 Parkway Rail service, with park and ride facilities at Dunboyne train station, provides easy access to Connolly Station. There's also a number of bus routes connecting Dunshaughlin to the City Centre and surrounding towns.
2. There's great shopping nearby
One of Ireland's most popular retailers, Avoca, is just a stone's throw away in Dunboyne. There's a food market, cafe, garden centre and store at their Dunboyne location, with a wide selection of women’s and men’s fashion and accessories, gifts, jewellery, books, stationery, beauty, kids, homeware and lifestyle.
3. It's a hive of activity and adventure
Adventure-lovers will have no problem keeping busy here. Water-babies will love Rathbeggan Lakes in Dunshaughlin, open from 9am to 7pm seven days a week.
Whether you're in the mood for some adrenaline-boosting zip-lining, a relaxing glide down the lake in the Water Zone, or just a scenic and calming nature walk, there'll be something new to try every time you return to the family adventure park.
The massively popular Tayto Park is less than a 10-minute drive away from Dún Ríoga, and if you fancy the buzz of a day at the races, Fairyhouse Race course is just a 15-minute drive.
4. The area has a rich heritage
Golfers can tee up on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Club with beautiful views of the Co. Meath countryside throughout the 600 acre estate.
5. It has great local amenities
From the Dunshaughlin GAA club to Dunshaughlin Community College, the rapidly growing population means there is a huge range of amenities and services in the area.
6. An Sibin Pub would be your new local
This cosy, traditional spot with a thatched roof, oodles of charm and impressively comprehensive menus of both food and wine - take our top tip and try the steak on a stone.
