This Tour Offers The Best View Of Dublin’s Skyline You’ll Ever See

I always find it amazing how many things tourists do in your own city that you’ve never managed to try out yourself.

I’ve vowed to change my own perception of the city this year by trying more of the things that visitors do when they come here, and one such thing was the Etihad Skyline Tour at Croke Park.

As you can see from the drone footage above, the tour takes you up onto the stadium roof and gives you the most amazing panoramic views of the city. Although the tour takes place in the home of Gaelic games it’s by no means intended for sports fans alone, although there are some nice sporting touches like the tour starting in the dressing room and a walk up the players tunnel.

You’ll get a unique perspective on the city below

It all lasts 90 minutes and takes place entirely on the walkway across five viewing platforms, as well as a cantilever over the iconic pitch, with incredibly knowledgable guides filling you in on all the sights you can see ranging from the Central Bank and Google HQ through to Mountjoy Prison and Tolka Park. You leave knowing a lot more about Dublin city and get a real feel for how the city is laid out.

The tour is good value at €20 for adults, €18 for students, and €12 for children (with family packages available), including entry to the GAA Museum, and it’s something really different to do in Dublin.

Team it up with a great pizza in the local Da Mimmos or a weekend brunch in Two Boys Brew and you’ll have a wonderfully unique Dublin experience.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, you can book tickets here.

The view from up top is absolutely stunning
