A sad day for boxing, sport and the world in general as Muhammad Ali passed away at 74 last night.
The star had a close connection with Ireland, having fought here, and said many kind words about our little island.
Some of the biggest Irish stars have been having their say on Twitter today and paying respects.
May the champ rest in peace.

Nobody will ever come close to this mans greatness.
And if they do, they better wake up and apologise. #RIPAli pic.twitter.com/ED2wgignB2— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) June 4, 2016
