Dubliners were rocked earlier this week when news emerged that the Bernard Shaw on South Richmond Street would be closing.
Ever since, social media has been filled with people lamenting the decision to shut the doors on one of the most prominent pubs associated with the Dublin creative scene.
With the Shaw scheduled to close permanently at the end of October, a demonstration has been organised to take place next week, highlighting the importance of the arts to this country.
Artists, poets and musicians and anyone else interested in keeping the scene alive are invited to 'make some noise, be it dance, hip-hop, rock or spoken word.'
S.O.S (Save Our Scene) is scheduled to take place on Tuesday September 24 at 1pm and if you're interested in attending, you can find out more information here.
