If you're in two minds about how to start your Bank Holiday weekend than this could be for you.
The National Concert Hall is showing the critically-acclaimed 1976 film, Taxi Driver, with a live performance from the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra.
The film portrays Travis Bickle, a 26-year-old honorably discharged U.S. Marine who becomes lonely and depressed living in isolation in New York City.
He takes a job as a taxi driver to cope with his chronic insomnia, driving passengers every night around the city's boroughs but becomes increasingly alienated and isolated leading to the climatic finale.
The score by Bernard Herrman, delivered to the set the night before he passed away, is one of the composer's best.
Money well spent.
