Seven Delicious Dishes To Excite You This Week

Food porn alert!

Let's be real, Mondays are a dose of absolute shite.

It's darker, chillier and soo much harder to get up in the mornings - and the kids being back in school means the commute to work is more than a struggle. (Face stuck up against the Luas doors, once again.)

Well there's not much I can do to better this situation but I can at least try, right?

So here it is - each week I bring you a brand new bucket list of decadent dishes in Dublin, one for each day in the week.

Having at least one of these, or even just thinking about it for five minutes while you're on that crowded bus, sshould deffo cheer you up:

1. Lamb Saag - Diwali

Diwali is one of my absolute fave Indian restaurants in town.

The food is superb, super tender meat, packed with flavour. It's got a deadly atmosphere and I adore it because they give you a bowl of free poppadoms and dips before your meal.

There's also a great early bird offer from Monday-Fri, €20 for two courses - sure you can't go wrong.

2. Jerk Chicken Banh Mi Salad - PANG

This tiny but mighty restaurant on Kevin Street is key for anyone who wants a healthy lunch that they can grab on the go.

This beauty is made of jerk chicken, peanut dressing, pickles, carrot, daikon, rice noodles, seasonal leaves, peanuts mint, thai basil and coriander.

Need this now.

3. Cheese Board - Chapter One

It's no surprise that Chapter One has taken the title of Dublin's Best Restaurant this week.

Along with a top class menu they have an entire menu dedicated to cheese - A.K.A my dream menu.

€35 will get you a selection of every cheese on this menu – A definite bucket list meal for any serious cheese fans out there.

4. PBJ Burger - Box Burger

I headed down to Box Burger in Bray last week for the first time.

It's funny because I have tried it so many times at festivals, Eatyard and the likes, but I had never actually made it down to their permanent premises.

To my delight, their menu had some exclusive burgers and knowing me, I picked the most unusual I could find.

A seriously meaty burger with peanut sauce, strawberry chilli jam and peanuts - this unlikely combo was seriously good.

5. Autumnal Açaí Bowl - Urbanity

I know when you hear the word "food porn", you probably think of saucy, meaty burgers or stringy cheesy pizzas, but I honestly don't think you'll find more aesthetically pleasing food than an Açaí Bowl.

Urbanity in Smithfield have just rotated their menu and with it comes this colourful bowl that has me drooling.

Insta goals.

6. Jackfruit Tacos - Nutbutter

Jackfruit seems to be the new hot trend in Dublin.

It's a great meat substitute and it's super tasty.

Nutbutter are loading it into their tacos and now's your chance to try it for yourself.

7. Pastéis De Nata - The Bakery

One of the cutest little cafés I've ever laid eyes on in Dublin, The Bakery is a haven for cake lovers.

The Pastéis de Nata from here take me back to the wonderful tiled streets of Lisbon.

These eggy, custard tarts are a godsend, one is never enough.

Enjoy!
