This Is The One Dublin Spot Where You Should Be Watching The Eurovision Tonight

James Fenton

To quote Ireland’s favourite sporting commentator George Hamilton, “a nation holds its breath.”

Irish eyes will fixed on TV screens tonight as Ryan O’Shaughnessy attempts to bring Eurovision gold home from Lisbon. With the odds on us winning now as low as 6/1 third favourites behind Cyprus and Israel it genuinely could be one of those ‘where were you?’ moments.

In a few years time, you hardly want to be answering that with ‘sitting alone in me gaff cracking a few cans’ so you might as well get out and enjoy it and we can’t think of a better spot than Adelphi on Abbey Street.

The venue is putting on a do for what it calls ‘the cheesiest night Europe has to offer’ and to further entice you, all customers will be given a free cocktail if Ireland are given the coveted ’12 points’ at any stage.

Certainly can’t go wrong with that. Lets hope we’re all raising a glass at the end. ‘Mon Ryan!
