Good weather means good food and plenty of ice cold drinks, so we thought we'd help you get ahead of the posse with a list of the hottest places to check out this summer.
On the hottest days you'll have serious trouble getting in, but if you do manage it then you're in for one of the best views in Dublin. You'll also have some of the best cocktails and food in the business. This place is made for summer.
We were raving about it in March when the weather wasn't even that spectacular. Make a day trip out of it if you're going, including a walk, a pint, shopping, and most importantly the best wings in Dublin.
This Avoca is the best one for enjoying the sunshine. You can start with a walk around the huge Malahide Park, an amazing spot when the sun shines, and then get stuck into their amazing cakes and coffees.
It's hardly a surprise that one of the best shops in Dublin would do such a good picnic box, and once you've picked it up stroll down the pier or the seafront and find the best spot available to enjoy it.
With the football season nearing an end and the Euros fast approaching, you'll want to head to this spot where you can watch matches and bask in the sun at the same time.
Most people will know this as a night venue, but when the sun shines they pull the roof back and you get to sit listening to live music, eating brunch and drinking in those rays.
It certainly isn't the biggest beer garden in Dublin (it's got about 20 seats at best), but the view up here, along with amazing craft beers and superb food, make this a must visit.
I included both of these places because they're right across the lane from each other and you can move between them easily. My own suggestion would be to start with some of the amazing food in Coppinger row and then move across to Pyg for a few cocktails. Be prepared to fight for an outdoor seat though.
This little gem in the middle of Terenure has one of the cutest little terraces in Dublin, but you'll have to get there early, especially at the weekends, as it's no longer a well kept secret. Lovely little tarts and a glass of homemade lemonade and you're laughing.
One of the most gorgeous restaurant terraces when the sun shines because of the stunning view of Howth, the city and all along the stretch of coastline on the other side of the road. Make sure to book though, as everybody knows about the great food, wine and sunshine combo.
The cliff walk will take you a couple of hours, but it's really worth it for the views. The calories that you burn off can quickly be replaced by the fish and chips in Beshoffs down in the village and a sneaky pint before heading for home.
