Here’s All You Need To Know About Late-Night Luas Services This Christmas

At this time of year it can feel like you're running in and out of town nearly every night to attend some kind of social gathering so the last thing you want to be doing is forking out for taxis home.

Thankfully the DART has already confirmed details of its late-night festive trains and Luas followed suit today with a supplementary Christmas schedule of its own.

The service has announced that night Luasses (Luases? Luasii? Answers on a postcard) will run into the early hours on Friday December 14, Saturday December 15, Friday December 21, Saturday December 22 and Monday December 31.

The late-night trams will be running in both directions but take note that the last trams every night will only run OUT of the city centre. The departure times for all the late-night trams can be found here.

Luas also confirmed its timetable for the major days around the holidays and it can be read in full below:

• Christmas Eve Mon 24th Dec: Services end at 20:00
• Christmas Day Tues 25th Dec : No Luas services
• St. Stephen’s Day Wed 26th Dec: Services running 09:00 - 23:30 with Sunday frequency
• Thur 27th Dec: Services running Saturday operating hours & frequency
• Fri 28th Dec: Services running Saturday operating hours & frequency
• Sat 29th Dec: Services running Saturday operating hours & frequency
• Sun 30th Dec: Services running Sunday operating hours & frequency
• NYE Mon 31st Dec: Services running Saturday operating hours & frequency plus Night Luas
• Bk Hol Tue 1st Jan: Services running Sunday operating hours & frequency
• Wed 2nd Jan: Regular weekday services resume
