Seven New Dublin Bus Routes Are Coming This Weekend And They Are Going To Be Extremely Different

Darragh Berry

We know it’s the weekend and you don’t even want to think about the start of next week already but we’re going to just tell you one small thing and let you back to your weekend fun.

Dublin Bus is introducing seven revamped Dublin Bus routes this weekend for good and they will be the second batch to be run by British Firm ‘Go Ahead’.

The transport firm will take over 10% of all Dublin Bus routes starting this month and the first routes involved are the:

  • 45A
  • 75
  • 184
  • 63
  • 185
  • 111
  • 59

They all begin new service on October 7, Sunday.

This follows on from the announcement that ‘Go Ahead’ launched a brand new Dublin Bus route back in September.

These new routes mean you won’t be able to check their bus times on the Dublin Bus app so don’t get caught out when you’re a bit sleepy on Monday morning.

You’ll have to download the Transport For Ireland app which covers updates for both Dublin Bus and the Go Ahead routes.

We advise you to download that now before you forget about it because you’re out celebrating the weekend.

However, you are still able to use your Leap Card for journeys on these new routes.

More new Dublin Bus route announcements from Go Ahead are expected on November 18 and on January 20.

Back in June, the British Firm said that it would be recruiting 425 new staff and would invest heavily in driver training.
