Dublin Bus is introducing a brand new route this weekend – the first one to be run by the British firm Go Ahead.
Following on from that, the transport firm will then take over 10% of all Dublin Bus routes starting in October.
The new 175 route will run from UCD to Citywest, via Dundrum and Tallaght and will be the first to have the new Go Ahead livery (which not everyone seems to be a fan of…)
We complained about the colours, the damn thing is invisible as opposed to the Dublin Bus colours, so after swearing they livery was staying the same they did this. Ugly as sin. The spent a lot of money to design this and change it. Typical NTA @AbleHour #Ablehour pic.twitter.com/ksbEXSp7zJ

You won’t be able to check the bus times on their routes via the Dublin Bus app, though you can still use your Leap Card.
Instead you’ll have to download the Transport for Ireland app which will cover live updates for both Dublin Bus and Go Ahead routes.
