We're absolutely mad about Dublin's food markets.
Sure, how could we not be, with the sun shining as much as it has been of late?
Grabbing something freshly and locally made and plopping down on some grass to eat is a total dream - and is something we're not fortunate enough to get to do year-round.
The food market scene in Dublin is a deadly community of independent legends doing what they love most - feeding us unreal food.
Whether it's a box of fresh, tasty dumpliéngs or a pile of poké - literally everything is available at Dublin's food markets these days...
Filling dumplings well into the night, these gals are as hardworking as it gets.
Both work full-time, Monday to Friday and then spend their Saturdays prepping for their stall at Herbert Park's Sunday market.
Their food is SO tasty, I cannot even begin to tell you.
Parcels of heaven filled with tofu and mushrooms, fresh mango and chicken or pork and napa cabbage.
Herbert Park - Sundays, 11am - 4pm
Fresh, handmade pasta... in a box!
Pasta Box's offerings are as good as you'd find in any of Dublin's finest Italian restaurants.
Our fave is the carbonara - penne, parmesan, cream, eggs, crispy pancetta and garlic = pure perfection and total carbload.
€10 for an enormous box of pasta, garlic bread on the side and a drink for just a tenner. Couldn't bate it with a stick.
Cannot recommend these guys enough.
East Point - Wednesdays 11.30 - 2pm / Mespil Road Canal - Thursdays 11.30 - 2pm / Sandyford 11.30 - 2pm
These lads are officially the coolest kids on the block (good pun, eh?).
Passionate about one of our favourite things on planet earth - ice cream - they are revolutionising how it's made.
If you haven't heard of Arctic Stone then you've clearly been leaving under a... stone?
Hand-rolled ice cream, made to order, exactly as you request. The coolest concept ever.
People's Park - Sundays, 11am - 4pm
A strong contestant for our favourite food on planet earth - the heavenly grilled cheese.
And Nice 'n' Cheesy make 'em like nobody's business.
All ingredients are locally sourced and combined to make these beautiful sandwiches. Think sourdough from The Firehouse Bakery, top secret cheeses from Wicklow and Cork and bacon from Farrellys butchers in Delgany.
Heavenly.
We'd recommend the goats cheese with walnuts and rosemary - it changed our lives.
Central Park, Leopardstown - Wednesdays 12pm - 2pm / Herbert Park, Ballsbridge - Sundays 11am -4pm
Pronounced poh-kay, poké originates from Hawaii where the raw fish salad is traditionally served as an appetiser.
And we are obsessed.
Healthy, delicious, filling, addictive - that's all we really ask of a dish, really. And it's all of the above.
Melt-in-your-mouth salmon and tuna with rice, avocado, mango, edamame, coriander... we're drooling just thinking about it.
A poké bowl from the Shaka lads is a must-try this summer.

The best paella we've tried in Dublin... and further afield.
Chorizo and chicken in a delicious tomato sauce with f*ck loads of rice.
Can't go wrong, really - but expect queuesssss.
Set up by the genius Ian Marconi - "the quality of our ingredients is always paramount and we spare no expense using only extra virgin olive oils, Maldon sea salt artisan chorizo, fresh herbs and hand made spice blends. We make everything by hand fresh for each market or event and cook our paella onsite so it doesn’t get any fresher. It takes time and dedication to do what we do which is why we continue to keep and grow our customer base weekly."

Flattish falafels with salads, hummus, pickled veggies, hot sauce and halloumi cheese all wrapped up in a flatbread or pitta - the lunch of our dreams, really.

Veginity is a food truck that serves all kinds of different vegan street food.
Parked in an industrial warehouse with big open doors in the heart of Portobello on Richmond Place South, the truck and seating area are always covered so the weather won't affect this spot.
And we are huuuuuge fans.
The food at Veginity is hearty, wholesome and beautifully presented.
