No, this isn’t a wind-up.
Apparently, us Dubs are fairly sexy. Well, according to this list, we are the eighth sexiest city in the whole world. Well, ain’t that something?
Popular travel site Big 7 Travel ranked us as such, anyway.
Describing the utter sexiness of Dublin, the website writes, “Ireland’s capital city is full of contradictions. On the one hand, it’s one of the most family-friendly cities in the world.
“For single adults, however, it’s one of the most sensual cities in the world. The Irish accent is so sexy that visitors can’t seem to resist, which might account for the fact that it’s one of the most promiscuous cities in the world.”

But, we didn’t make the top spot. Filling the number one spot is Miami, Florida. Okay, I suppose that’s fair.
Other cities we lost out to are Paris (to be expected), Denver, Copenhagen, Cape Town, Zurich and Cap d’Agde.
But, we did manage to beat out cities such as Liverpool, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, New York and Buenos Aires.
The website also explained the criteria that these cities had to meet to make the list.
They examined which cities had the most “romantic restaurants, date night spots, and passion-inducing activities.”
They also looked at the cities with the most “most sexual searches online” as well as statistics regarding the cities that had the most sex. Awkward…
Additionally, they considered research completed on which cities were best for single people as well as which nationalities were the sexiest.
And if you’re wondering, Irish only ranked at number 50 on that list.
Apparently, “Not even Jamie Dornan or Cillian Murphy could save the Irish from getting voted the least sexiest nation in the world.”
