Ryan Tubridy will observe public health guidelines and continue to self-isolate, meaning he will not host tonight's Late Late Show.
Having suffered with a persistent cough for a number of days, Ryan Tubridy has decided that it would not be wise to put the Late Late Show's production crew at risk by broadcasting from the studio on Friday night.
Instead, The Late Late Show will be host by Miriam O'Callaghan, the first woman to ever fully present the programme.
"I'm delighted to be able to step in tonight and present the Late Late Show," O’Callaghan
said.
"We have to keep the show on the road. Best wishes to Ryan."
Tubridy, who underwent a mock test for Covid-19 on last week's show, was replaced by
Oliver Callan earlier this week for his RTE Radio One show.
Tonight's Late Late Show will again feature no audience but it promises to be a memorable show as the
programme will pay tribute to frontline workers who have been working tirelessly to halt the spread of coronavirus.

In terms of guests, music sensation Hozier is set to perform an exclusive set live in studio while there will be plenty of laughs expected on Skype calls from Mrs Brown's Boys stars Brendan O'Carroll and wife Jennifer Gibney, as well as a video link with comedian Dara O'Briain.
Sports fans will be delighted to learn that former Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll will also be on the show, as well as legendary GAA commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
Caroline O'Sullivan from the ISPCC will be in attendance to offer advice to parents of children who are affected by the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
League of Ireland footballer Lee Duffy will also be on the programme to talk about how he contracted Covid-19 and his experience with the virus.
