PICS: Viewers Were Disgusted And Very Angry About This Incident On Virgin Media One (TV3) Last NIght

It happened at a late enough time on Tuesday night so you might have missed it as you were fast asleep.

The Tonight Show on Virgin Media One (formerly TV3) is hosted by Ivan Yeats and Matt Cooper and discusses the current affairs from the day that just was.

However, on last night’s programme, Yeats was absent and instead of filling his position with another broadcaster, Virgin Media One took an awful risk and asked a politician to take the role.

But not just any politician, a famous one from Kerry who comes from one of the most well-known families in Ireland.

That’s right, folks. Last night, Michael Healy-Rae joined Cooper in the hot seat to discuss topics such as the housing crisis.

And people could not understand how this was let happen.

The decision to have Healy-Rae as a host was described as a “farce” and unacceptable because of the subject matters being talked about:

“How can a sitting TD be a Presenter on a so called Political Current Affairs Programme.? Is he a Landlord and a Publican, these are 2 subjects under discussion tonight,” one tweeter said.

Michael Healy-Rae was happy with his performance on the night saying that:

“It was strange but enjoyable to be on the other side of the table tonight #TonightVMT”
