This could be the perfect spot for your next weekend adventure.
Howth Head has been name-checked in a new Lonely Planet guide to the best running routes around the world.
A new book titled Epic Runs Of The World lists the stunning north Dublin location among the best routes to take on around the globe, calling it ‘Dublin’s wild side’.
The 12km coastal route loops around Howth Head and is a popular spot with runners and casual walkers alike.
It made the cut along with beautiful locations including The Lewa Safari Marathon, the Amalfi Coast, the Great Wall of China and Vancouver’s Stanley Park Seawall.
As well as that, three more Irish beauty spots made it into the book – the Causeway loop in Antrim, the Cliffs of Moher and Kerry’s Old Kenmare Road.
You can pick up a copy of the book and get some running route inspo via Amazon.
