We realise that it’s pretty horrible outside but trust us, braving the wind and rain is worth it if you’re heading to great events like these.
Nobody wants to be out on the batter on a weeknight but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a bit of craic.
Here are a few events that we would highly recommend hitting up…
Curve Your Enthusiasm Quiz NightÂ
No More Static is a new BYOB screening and quiz night at Filmbase in Temple Bar and this week’s topic of choice is Larry David’s brilliant Curb Your Enthusiasm.Â
It’s on tomorrow night, Wed 1 March, and there’ll be a screening of a few episodes of the show, followed by the ultimate CYE quiz. Tickets are very reasonably priced at €5 (€20 for table of four).
Few cans in your bag and you have a great night out for less than a tenner.Â
Lovin Dublin Food & Drink Trail
Like your food and your beer? You’re going to love our latest event. We’ve teamed up with Franciscan Well for the ultimate foodie night out.Â
You’ll hit some of Dublin’s most popular venues and sample different dishes in each, washing them down with a perfectly paired Franciscan Well beer. It all kicks off this Saturday and tickets are priced at €35.
George Best At The IFI
George Best: All By Himself is showing at the IFI this week and gives a fascinating insight into one of football’s most legendary characters. There are screenings on Wed 1 March (1.45pm/6.10pm) and Thursday 2 March (1.20pm/9.10pm) and tickets are €9.50.
I Have A Tribe at Whelan’s Live
Checking out a gig is one of our favourite activities and the brilliant I Have A Tribe aka Patrick O’Laoghaire is definitely worth the trip. If you like folk/pop, you’ll love this. The gig is on Friday 3 March and tickets are €15.
Scene & Heard at Smock Alley
This great festival showcases new work across comedy, theatre and dance so you’re bound to find something that takes your fancy. You’ll find the full line-up here.
