Famous for the Eminem’s ludicrous behaviour and their hit single ‘My Band’… Oh, wait. Wrong D12.
But, Dublin 12 is still just as deadly. And these spots prove it.
1. Matt The Rashers, Crumlin
Known locally as the best breakfast you’ll ever have, Matt The Rashers serves up the best fry in The Pale, and potentially Ireland. The loyalty of their fanbase says it all, with queues out the door for their famous sausages.
2. The Halfway House, Walkinstown
The Halfway House is a gorgeous little tavern, decorated beautifully and full of charm. Their menu boasts some really delicious seafood, and the prices are quite reasonable too.
They also provide music on weekends, adding to the already warm atmosphere.
3. Monto, Kimmage
This place has cracking Italian food, huge variety and caters to absolutely everyone. The prices are good and portion sizes are big, so here’s where you should go if you want value for money.
They also have a takeaway menu, for when your perch simply can’t be left.
4. Cabana Café, Bluebell
Cabana Café is the perfect spot for a warm summer’s day, serving up fresh, healthy food with outdoor seating available. An ideal spot to head for lunch after a long walk.
5. Kestrel Inn, Walkinstown Roundabout
A big, lively pub where the craic is had and the music is deadly. A snug of an establishment in which you can get cosy in warm and friendly surroundings.
They’re famous for their trad sessions and they also whip up a mean carvery. Not too shabby.
6. Pickles, Kimmage
Pickles Deli has a loyal following, and has done for years. This is due to their menu being filled up with exactly what you want: healthy, light, tasty mains and unbelievably decadent desserts.
