When it's this oppressively cold, it's awfully tempting to just curl up perfectly still at home and simply wait for the winter to feck off again — but thankfully there are plenty of ways to kill some time while remaining nice and toasty. 

What the hell are you talking about, I hear you cry. First of all, calm down sir.

1. Go for a bowl of coddle

Reconnect with old Dublin with a hearty bowl of this traditional dish, which is guaranteed to hit the spot during these wintry days.

5. Go see Murder On The Orient Express

Sometimes you just can't beat a good popcorn movie on a lazy Sunday.

This film tells the story of a curious killing which takes place on the exotic Orient Express, a train upon which, unfortunately for the murderer, the world's greatest detective just so happens to be a passenger.

With a stellar ensemble cast including Kenneth Branagh, Judy Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Willem Dafoe and Johnny Depp, Murder On The Orient Express is one of those films you just have to see in the cinema.
