Dublin is absolutely bursting with talent, and here’s some lucky artist band or performer’s chance to get their lucky break.
Songs to Beat the Blues is the latest compilation release from students in the Sound Training Productions in Dublin. Each year, the production studio put together a charity compilation for a good cause, and this year’s charity is Aware.
According to Nialler9, the album itself is planning to be “an album of uplifting songs that help to banish the darkness and let in the light, as chosen by the artists themselves.”
And if you’re still not sure what that means, think James Vincent McMorrow’s ‘Higher Love’, as his original cover was featured on one of their albums of yore.
And because of all this, the powers-that-be behind it all, have put out a call asking for young and upcoming artists to come in and record the songs that give them a lift when they feel down.
The lucky chosen ones will be given a chance to record, mix and master professionally in a Sun Studio with the producers Peter Meighan and Fergal Davis.
