An Garda Síochána have seized two vehicles, a firearm and ammunition as part of investigations into organised crime in north Dublin city centre, according to Independent.ie.
The Gardaí were alerted to two unoccupied vehicles yesterday as they were patrolling the area on foot in the afternoon. They then searched both of the vehicles and came to find a loaded revolver and a canister of petrol.
Both vehicles, the firearm and ammunition have been seized for technical examination and further investigation.
No arrests have yet been made. Sources claim that this may have been linked to the ongoing gangland violence happening in the city.
