Brother Hubbard North, the popular Capel St hotspot for Middle Eastern food and healthy veggie treats is expanding into a new building on the corner of Capel St and Mary’s Abbey.
The Irish Times reports that the new restaurant, which will be the third premises owned by Garrett Fitzgerald and James Boland, will open in early autumn in the former Gary Rhodes restaurant which can fit 300 seats.
“We are going to operate in only part of the premises initially – the kitchens (allowing for a more evolved menu) and about half the seating area. We are holding off on the remaining seating area for a little while, whilst formulating a separate and exciting plan for that,” Fitzgerald told The Irish Times.
“We will be able to provide a far more spacious and comfortable offering with all this extra space and we have a very exciting plan.”
There will be an outdoor terrace area, which will have lots of plants, and plans for menu changes include adding more vegan options.
A launch event will be planned alongside Amnesty International, and will be based around Syria.
