There’s a very Dublin dish trending on Twitter and it has caused a lot of controversy.
A Dublin coddle is probably the best traditional Irish dish to come out of our fair city, but it seems to have caused quite a stir, and randomly out of nowhere, when it started trending on Dublin’s Twitter last night.
While many of us are a fan of the hearty dish perfect for the cold weather, it seems that others aren’t and they were quick to voice their opinions on the social media site.
And the results are gas.
Here are some of our favourite tweets from the big debate:

People who enjoy coddle are the same people who sit beside you on the bus when there are loads of free seats.

Why is everyone talking about coddle? I’ve never even had it. I thought Dubs were taking the piss when told me they boil sausages. Lunatics

As a Dub, I would like to co-sign all anti-coddle content. It is vile and its association with Dublin does a disservice to this fine city
