These Tasty Meal Deliveries Will Help You Eat Healthily Through January

Picture this: It’s one week into January, you’ve sworn blindly on all social media platforms that you’re getting #fit this year, and you’ve already signed up to the gym. Brill.

But then, reality kicks in. 

It’s freezing and your first week back to work has been so hectic that even the thoughts of cooking a healthy, nutritious – and most importantly tasty – meal is just too stressful. Fret not, my fellow wannabe gym bunny, there’s no need to reach for the pizza voucher just yet.

Luckily for folk living in Dublin there are now plenty of companies offering fresh and hearty pre-made meal plans to fit any diet, along with ingredients and recipes for when you do feel like trying your hand at cooking.

Whether you need every single meal delivered to your door, or are simply stuck for healthy snacks, these guys have you covered.

1. DropChef

What is it? Pre-measured ingredients and step-by-step recipes for a homemade meal in 30 minutes. Choose from One Person, Two Person or Family Plans, which are delivered on Sundays and Mondays.

Where? Greater Dublin area.

How much? From €6.95 per person per meal with weekly plans varying from €29.85 for the One Person Plan to €83.40 for the Family Plan.

2. Gourmet Fuel

What is it? Pre-made individual meals designed to help with weight loss, paleo, high protein and vegetarian diets. Opt for multi pack meals or single servings of snacks.

Where? Nationwide, baby. 

How much? Prices start from €1.95 for snacks, and dinners cost between €7.95 and €10.95. Multi pack meals range from €75 to €220.

3. Life Kitchen

What is it? Super healthy ready-made meals designed by a scientist for a balanced and nutritious diet. Choose from individual meals such as lamb chilli or seafood pie. Order two days in advance!

Where? All throughout Dublin and the rest of Ireland.

How much? Get three meals delivered per week for a month for €120, 5 meals for €160, or 7 for €199. Individual meals are €10 and healthy desserts are €5.50.

4. FitFood

What is it? All of FitFood’s pre-made meals are gluten, dairy and sugar free, with breakfast. lunch and dinner options. The treat box is a winner with  healthy versions of cookies and muffins.

Where? All across Ireland.

How much? Prices range from five meals delivered a week for €30, to €129 a week for a full weight loss meal plan.

5. Wholefood Revolution

What is it? Locally sourced ingredients delivered with step-by-step recipes that are pre-portioned and take 30-45 minutes to cook from scratch. Cooking for one? Order the two person meal and eat the next day.

Where? All of Dublin and East Meath.

How much? A weekly cost of €29.95 for a couples box, or €49.95 to feed a family of four for two nights. Meals work out as little as €6.24 per portion
