This is confusing. But good. We think.

Starting with a roll-out across 400 restaurants in the UK, McDonald's is set to change one of the most fundamental aspects of itself: by allowing customers to order from their table, and having waiters bring the food to them.

On wooden boards.

Wooden boards.

UK CEO Paul Pomroy said:

We opened 26 new restaurants last year and the rollout of our reimaging programme is transforming the way we serve customers, and has been a key growth driver.

It's only in the UK for now, but where that market moves, we very often follow. So watch this space... and watch your childhood slowly slip away, tiny bit by tiny bit.
