Snuggle Up By The Fire After Work Today In This Cosy City Centre Library Bar

Sarah

The grim weather has well and truly set in, and we’re all snuggled up in our blanket scarves and faux leather gloves.

Basically, it’s finally the time to pile on the winter pounds and if there’s one lovely way to spend an evening in town it’s curled up by the fire with a mug of hot chocolate.

And my fave place to go? The Library Bar in The Central Hotel on Exchequer Street, hands down.

Tucked up away just off from Grafton Street, this classy hiding hole is like stepping back into another century where Oscar Wilde scribbled away with a fountain pen and people actually drank stuff like port.

The armchairs are plush, mahogany wood is king and there’s always a roaring fire on the go.

I always find myself wandering towards here at Christmas time, especially after an afternoon of shopping to warm up by their fire, nurse a hot choc (*cough cough, hot whiskey), and just get a little R&R before trekking home.

It’s absolutely heavenly.

Go on, make your Monday that little bit brighter.
