The Ultimate Dublin Steak Bucket List

Nothing beats a good steak.

You could try cooking one at home but they never end up tasting as good as when you go out and eat them in restaurants.

Not all steaks are equal though. Some really are better than others which is why we've come up with an incredible bucket list for you to work your way through.

Get ready to suffer from serious meat sweats and plan to get a new gym membership because this is going to be hard but beautiful work...

1. Featherblade

This restaurant on Dawson Street started off with one thing on the menu which was steak!

They've since added a burger but we wouldn't look beyond the steak.

It has incredible flavour, good value and a super treat.

2. Butcher's Grill

Specials including a T Bone for 2 people (not cheap at €80 but so worth it) are to die for and unique cuts like their Hanger steak and the Cote De Beouf for 2 have to be tried to be believed.

I think it is hands down the best steak in Dublin and being able to watch it hit the grill from your seat is a little extra added bonus.

3. Darwin's

The one place to go on the list if you want a really big portion.

Their steaks are massive and come with amazing sides and super service.

You won't be leaving here hungry anyway, that's for sure!

4. Tomahawk

It is only open a couple of weeks but is already one of the top spots to get a steak in the city centre.

The super new addition do amazing cuts and you need to make sure to get the creamy mash.

You won't regret it...

5. FXBs

With their butchery background, they have such amazing meat and a love of steak which means they only start off with the best meat.

Their cooking is simple and they help educate the customers about great meat.

It is absolutely amazing melt in the mouth stuff.

6. Marco Pierre White

Even though this is a chain, it belongs to what I would consider the greatest chef of his generation.

The prices are steep and you'll have to add on sides, but when it comes to great pieces of meat and awesome sauces this is one of the best spots in town.

7. Whitefriar Grill

They have a couple of signature dishes that include steak.

Either with ribs or as a surf and turf with prawns. They are all absolutely outstanding and all great value too.

8. Brookwood

This is a proper old school steak house where everything feels elegant including the way the steak is served.

You are guaranteed a wonderful experience that is like stepping into another world.

9. The Chophouse

Filled with lots of tech types working in the local Google and Facebook offices and everything else on the menu should be ignored in favour of one of these beasts.

10. Shanahans

You are going to need to take out a second mortgage to eat in Dublin's most expensive steak house, but they are known for doing one thing and doing it well and that is making awesome steaks.

You are not going to be eating here every week, but if you want to treat somebody for a special occasion then this is the only place to eat steak.

11. Asador

A restaurant that is completely dedicated to BBQ and has Argentinian influences is always going to get a look in when it comes to steak.

Their meat is awesome and has a unique flavor added by the BBQ.

Melt in the fucking mouth.
