James Fenton

In news you weren’t expecting to hear today, The Happy Pear will soon be opening a branch of their much-loved café in Dublin Airport.

Twins Stephen and David Flynn already have two locations in Greystones and another in Clondalkin but from next month, holidaymakers will be able to enjoy their selection of healthy cakes, hand-roasted coffee, and signature sandwiches right before they jump on their flights.

The new café will be located in terminal one of the airport and will also feature The Happy Pear’s award-winning pesto and hummus products as well as vegetarian offerings, salads, soups and hot food bowls.

Speaking about the announcement, Dublin Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison said: “Dublin Airport is continually working to improve the passenger experience and the new Happy Pear outlet will be a great addition for our customers.”

He added that “The Happy Pear brand is synonymous not just with healthy, freshly prepared food options, but also with sustainable business practices, something Dublin Airport strongly supports.”

The new café is scheduled to open next month so it’s certainly great news if you’re flying out in the near future.
