A Christmas bar is coming to Dublin for the month of December. The Christmas Cocktail Club opens Friday 1st December in the basement of Berlin Cafe & Bar D2.
What a very elite club to be apart of too.
Wandering the cold streets of Dublin looking for a festive Christmas drink this month is going to be a thing of the past as Berlin D2 is serving up all the Christmas drinks your cheerful heart may desire.
For one month only, award-winning cocktail bartender Alan McGillivray will be leading this project. Alan recently moved back to Dublin from New York City where he worked in two of the best cocktail bars in the world - The Dead Rabbit and BlackTail.
So, needless to say, he knows a thing or two about making a great cocktail.
Alan and his crew will be serving up traditional festive drinks such as Nog’s, Mulled Wine and Hot Apple Cider to name a few. What better way to start the Christmas season than to be sipping on some delicious hot port while listening to The Pogues playing Fairytale of New York? Kisses under the mistletoe is an absolute must and there's even a 1980's super sayer heater to keep us all warm (that is almost essential this time of year).
The Christmas themed bar is in the basement of Berlin Cafe & Bar which is now located on Dame lane and it is going to be one of the most Christmassy bars you will experience in the capital this month.
Remain calm, but even Santa for grown-ups will be making sporadic appearances at the place.
You can pop in anytime from 5pm Thursday to Sunday or make a reservation for The Christmas Cocktail Club through their Facebook and Twitter page.
