This Fab New Mediterranean Restaurant Just Opened In Dublin

There was good news for foodies living in the Monkstown area recently, with Blackrock favourite La Plancha relocating to the suburb.

The Mediterranean restaurant’s new site is now up and running, with head chef and co-owner Andrew Lawlor (formerly of The Green Hen and The Clarence Hotel) and co-owner Eimear Brannelly at the helm.

They’re all about cooking from scratch at La Plancha, with homemade ice-cream, bread, stocks, sauces and crackers all prepped in-house.

And just look at these seafood dishes…

The lunch menu runs from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, with dishes like house cured salmon with avocado puree, celeriac and apple and pork Milanese with gremolata and lemon.

The dinner offering sounds even better, with indulgent dishes like Thornhill Duck Two Ways with confit leg, carrot anise puree, fondant potato, spinach and duck jus and porcini mushroom arancini (porcini risotto balls stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes and herbs).

Well worth checking out!
