Dublin has plenty to offer when it comes to tasty treats, and it's gotten to the stage where it's almost too hard to decide where to eat out. Almost, but not quite.
We've put together a dream day of feasting in the city, that will take you from farm-fresh eggs in the morning to expertly blended cocktails as the evening darkens.
This is a perfect day for foodies, exploring all the best food and drink that Dublin has to offer, but if you actually manage to hit up every single spot on this list in one day, then we will be eternally jealous of your stomach capacities.
Whether you make a day of it or try out a meal at a time, these places are sure to deliver.
Go forth and gorge <3
This community cafe in Dublin 8 is the perfect spot to start your day. A lovely bright open space, they serve their health-conscious brekkie from 8am, using local and organic produce. There's even a self-serve porridge section.
Our recommended order: Fumbally Eggs - €5.00
Scrambled with olive oil, Gubbeen cheese, garlic and tomatoes on toasted brioche. You can also add hot smoked ham if you're a morning meat lover. Delicious.
This hipster-centric bar may always be buzzing come night time, but pop in here before 11am and you'll be rewarded with some of the best coffee in the city. The Italians in charge of this morning coffee spot make amazing pastries and cakes, and they're extremely sound too.
Our recommended order: Americano - €2.20
Keep it simple and order a rich Americano or espresso coffee - you won't want any milk messing with these flavours.
Make your way across the Liffey to this Asian street-food restaurant that will warm your soul with their spicy kimchi fries and steamed Taiwanese buns. Their hot broths are the thing of legends, full of flavour and eastern goodness, and they also do a great lunch deal menu for €8.50.
Our recommended order: Chilli Beef Soup - €15
Grilled kalbi beef, rice noodles, fried egg, scallions and wilted greens, all thrown into a spicy broth. You'll be licking the bowl.
Look, if you can't have afternoon tea on your dream food day then when can you? You may still be stuffed from lunch but by God, you'll make some room for this unusual selection in The Westin. Adding the teapot of Hendrick's Gin cocktail is a must.
Our recommended order: A Most Peculiar Afternoon Tea - €36
This includes delights such as as devilled crayfish mayo in a charcoal wafer cone and homemade 'popping' marshmallows. No boring cucumber sandwiches here!
This family-owned Italian restaurant is perfect for a pre-dinner drink if you want to escape the busy main streets of town. Treat yourself to one of their delicious Prosecco cocktails and grab a seat outside for prime people watching. If you really can't wait to eat, they have a great selection of 'stuzzichini' aka delish Italian nibbles.
Our recommended order: Spritz - €8.50
Choose from sweet and zesty Aperol or a more intense Campari added into Prosecco for a delightfully fizzy pick-me-up.
Continue with the Italian theme at this tiny hidden gem on Bachelor's Walk. Their simple yet perfect presentation of some of the best produce that Italy has to offer is combined with a romantic and cosy setting that surely can't seat more than 20 people. A total winner. Their bruschetta starter of breads topped with talli de cappero (wild caper sprouts) and lardo di colonnata (a Ligurian speciality of pork fat and mixed herbs) is glorious.
Our recommended order: Black Truffle and Cheese Fondue-Stuffed Ravioli - €16.50
This handmade pasta is a 'grandmother's specialty' from Piedmonte, perfectly pinched pasta dough filled with a creamy and rich stuffing and perfected with a sprinkle of parmesan.
Roll back towards Stephen's Green and head into this charming bar, tucked away in an old Georgian house for a unique cocktail experience. Their cocktail menu is inspired by music and all its different genres, ranging from soft pop and rock 'n' roll to alternative dessert drinks.
Our recommended order: Pretty Fly For A Mai Tai - €12.50
This tropical beverage is a mix of Olmeca Reposado, blue curacao, Peruke’s ginger syrup, Orgeat, lime, blackberry and raspberry cordial, Peychaud’s Bitters, grapefruit and passionfruit. Yaass.
If you need some extra soakage after all those cocktails, you can't beat a last-minute pit stop along Camden St for some of town's best take out. Zaytoon is a popular Persian restaurant open until 4am and these guys have your back if you're peckish after a night out.
Our recommended order: Chicken Shish Kebab - €7
Boneless chicken fillet marinated with saffron and special spices before being grilled on a skewer. Hits the spot every weekend.
