We all know the college trick with cheap white wine: get the least expensive bottle you can find at top it off with 7up or Sprite.
But for adults who don’t necessarily want to have a spritzer, the Wall Street Journal have an even better trick, and it’ll barely cost you a cent.
Nathan Myhrvold, Microsoft’s former chief technology officer, recently told the Journal his trick to making any wine with “excess fruit, tannin or alcohol” taste better is to add a pinch of salt.
It makes the drink taste more savoury and evens out the flavour.
We’re totally going to give this a go next time we have some wine that doesn’t taste right.
