You Need To Go To This BYOB Supper Club On Friday – Here’s Why

Sarah

Looking for something absolutely lovely to do with your Friday evening this week?

Well then you should 100% check out An ‘Other’ Supperclub for Syria, an exciting pop up dinner in Shakshuka in Rathmines (formerly Little Jerusalem).

The supper club will not only have delish Syrian-Irish food consisting of three courses of sharing plates expertly made by Syrian chefs, there’ll also be music, artwork and “stories that will challenge, deconstruct and reconstruct our perceptions of ‘Other’.

The news gets even better too, because this event is BYOB – the ultimate bonus.

All proceeds of this event will be donated to Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) who work to raise awareness and create debate about crises and are helping massively in Syria.

Music is curated by Sofar Sounds Dublin so the tunes are guaranteed to be great, and the line up includes soulful singer Farah Elle, with more to be announced.

Shakshuka itself looks stunning too, with the interior based on a Bedouin tent and looking positively dreamy.

Artwork curated by creative collaborative Peachy Dublin will also be on display on the night, with the collection “deconstructing communications of the other and representations of the refugee crisis.”

A very important evening for a very important cause.

Sounds amazing doesn’t it?

Tickets can be bought online here.
