Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Beatyard Festival In Dublin This Weekend

Alana Laverty

It’s the most wonderful time of the yeeeeeaaaarrrrr.

Yep, you guessed it my friend – The Beatyard is back, baby.

It’s all going down this weekend, August 5 and 6, in Dún Laoghaire.

Last year was lit, but this year is set to be bigger and better than ever.

Here’s why…

Foooood:

We’re all familiar with Eatyard on Richmond Street, right?

Well, think Eatyard, but on Dún Laoghaire Harbour.

They’re calling it The Just Eat Yard and it will house:

  • Juicy Box Burger burgers,
  • Doghouse gourmet hot dogs
  • Legendary Pieman pies and mash
  • Seth Troxler’s Smokey Tails (a first for Dublin)
  • Vegan and veggie offerings from The Happy Pear
  • Oysters from King Sitric Oyster Co.
  • Pow Bao buns
  • Shaka Poké
  • Jaru Korean Kitchen
  • Pizza from our Big Blue Bus friends yessssss
  • Fish + chips, chowder, calamari and more from the tasty Tram Chowder crew
  • BBQ from Pitt Bros, obv
  • The Crepe Box for all your sweet ‘n’ savoury needs
  • Dark Horse vegan pizzas
  • Oysters and beek cheek from &Rocks
  • And much, much more
  • Like expect a food coma, okay?

The Irish Street Food Awards

It’s all going down tomorrow, Saturday, where one worthy winner will be crowned ‘Best Street Food’ in Ireland.

Judges Danni Barry of EIPIC, Belfast, the legendary Takashi Miyazaki of Miyazaki in Cork and Richard Johnson from the British & European Street Food Awards will choose the overall winner who’ll go on to represent Ireland at the European Street Food Awards.

It’s a pretty big deal and we’re super excited to see who’ll win big.

And to wrap up the food side of things, there’ll be loads going down with the likes of Takashi Miyazaki, Sophie White, Simon Lamont oyster king extraordinaire, Finn Ní Fhaolain, Aoife Noonan and John Farrell of Luna, 777 and Dillinger’s, 3FE’s Colin Harmon, Bodytonic’s Trev O’Shea, Susan and Judith Boyle of Two Sisters Bre and wine expert Rory Craig all gracing The Stage for food talks ‘n’ demos.

Banter…

Banter with Jim Carroll will be back including a exclusive sit down with Larry Heard on Saturday plus much more.

Music and food ain’t the only things at Beatyard.

Fun and games play a huge part so with that being said, there’ll be a big wheel, chair-o-planes, Draw with Don Conroy, helter skelter, Create Sound music demos, Coder Dojo…l oads more including a full LEGO model of the site.

Tunes…

The Bodytonic x Redbull stage cannot be missed.
