Rejoice – This Well-Loved Dublin Restaurant Is Opening Another Place In The Capital

We said that this place “probably has the tastiest wings in the city” and that’s why it was included in our ‘Top 10 Places In Dublin That Serve Fricken’ Deadly Chicken’.

And we’re delighted that it has been announced that it will open a new outlet in Dublin.

Elephant & Castle announced on Twitter on Tuesday that it will be opening a place in Rathmines “very soon”.

They said that: “We are delighted to announce that the Elephant & Castle family is expanding and will be opening very soon in Rathmines.

“We hope you are excited as we are and can’t wait to welcome you!”

Opening its doors in Temple Bar in early 1989, by the summer of the same year “the queues had already started for our fantastic food and spectacular atmosphere!”

In 2019 and beyond, it also sounds like they hope to open in more places other than Rathmines.

“This year sees us heading up to a mighty thirty year milestone in December, where we have become truly embedded in the history and fabric of Dublin cultural life.

“Now, finally, there is another exciting chapter for the Elephant & Castle story. We are on the move, up and out beyond our old neighborhood in Temple Bar, and into some new ones.

“So to all of our fantastic customers who may have missed us so many times over all those years because of the endless queues for our small restaurant, we just want to say one thing.

“Watch out! You won’t miss us again!”
