Six Brand New Spots In Dublin Worth Trying This Weekend

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

1. Chew Brew – Aungier Street

Dublin’s first bubble tea room has landed and it’s an Instagrammer’s dream on the inside.

Chew Brew specialises in bubble tea, ice tea, iced coffee, matcha tea, choux balls and ice cream.

They’ve got all the traditional flavours (a LOAD of matcha) and then some unique, drool-worthy mixtures for the adventurous palette.

2. Akaka – Liffey Street

Poké bowls are one of the biggest food trends around right now.

The bowls are packed with flavour, super healthy and very filling, so you’ll be set for the day. The fish is chilled when popped on top of your bowl, fresh as fresh could be.

Akaka opened on Liffey Street recently and it’s the ideal spot to grab lunch on the go.

3. Union Café – Churchtown

Finding brunch in Churchtown has been a bit of a strugg up until now.

As a local of this stunnning leafy suburb, it’s a pain to have to go into town to avail of an Eggs Benny so when Union Café opened I was beyond happy.

It’s a spacious venue with ample seating and a vast brunch menu.

4. Wild Duck – Temple Bar

If you’re looking for a bar with atmosphere, great location and tasty grub this new Temple Bar pub is a must.

It’s full of quirky artwork and ornaments, they serve a cracking pint of Guinness and it’s just around the corner from The Olympia Theatre.

It would be a fab spot for a pre-theatre meal.

5. Póg 2.0

Dublin’s famous healthy pancake joint has opened up a second venue and it’s been getting rave reviews ever since.

The new café is serving up the usual favourites along with some stopping brunch dishes.

I have yet to pop down and check it out but I will be sure to update you guys as soon as I do.

6. The Devlin – Ranelagh

A brand new boutique hotel by the name of The Devlin has just opened in Ranelagh.

Led by the Press Up Group, this funky venue is sure to be rammed over the next few weeks. Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant on the top floor is designed under a similar strand to Sophie’s. It’s set to have a delish menu.

Now is your time to get in there and check out these funky places before they’re chock-a-block!
