Gardaí are investigating a burglary which took place in the early hours of Thursday morning, in which a number in the vicinity of 50 televisions were stolen from a shop in Lucan Retail Park.

According to the Journal, it's understood that a car with ladders on the roof and a black van entered the car park at around 1:50am. A number of people broke into the building, taking around 50 televisions as well as a small safe in the exchange.

An Garda Síochána are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the vicinity between the hours of 1:30am - 3:30am to contact them at Lucan Garda Station on 666-7300.

A Garda spokeswoman added: “During the course of this burglary a number of TV’s were taken and we would again ask the public to contact Gardaí if they have any information or are offered a TV for sale.”
