A Dublin Taxi Driver Kindly Helped A Man Who Was Stabbed By Youths In The City Centre

A taxi man came to the assistance of a man in his early 30s after a stabbing in the on Crane Lane, Dublin 2 at 3.30am this morning.

The man was stabbed by a number of teens who robbed his phone. 

A taxi driver helped the injured man and took him to St. James Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which Gardaí say are not life threatening.

A description of the culprits was circulated to Gardaí and an arrest was made a short time later.  The scene was located and was preserved, and the man’s phone was recovered when the arrest was made.

The arrested man is currently detained at Pearse Street Garda Station, under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
