A Facebook Event Has Been Made For The New Luas Line Opening – And It’s Spectacular

There are a few things Dublin’s youths do well:

  • Fill up fountains with washing up liquid
  • Loiter in the background of RTÉ news broadcasts
  • And make entertaining Facebook events around city centre openings

This time, it’s the latter.

The new Luas Cross City finally opens today – and we’ve all gone giddy with excitement. So much so, that a gas Facebook event has been created to celebrate such a momentous occasion.

The event goes on to say:

”From 7am this Saturday, two trams will slowly travel the new Luas line between St. Stephen’s Green, College Green and over to O’Connell St.

We’ve only waited 4 years for this day – Let’s all meet up in town with bags of cans and cheer on the boys. Brings signs, placards, business suits, Ireland jerseys and inflatable furniture.

At half 11, the trams will stop at O’Connell Street for a photocall with Minister for Transport Shane Ross among those in attendance.

BIG BAG OF CANS FOR THIS ONE LADS”

Inspired.

Thus far, 744 people are attending this massive Luas sesh. Will you be one of them?

Nice day for it…
