A Pedestrian Has Died After Being Hit By A Car In Dublin 4

A 47 year old man has died after being hit by a car in Dublin City.

According to RTÉ, the male pedestrian was hit by a car on the Shelbourne Road shortly after midnight.

An ambulance attended the scene, but he was later pronounced dead. The driver is said to be unhurt.

The Shelbourne Road has now been closed between the junctions of Lansdowne Road and Bath Avenue, to aid the work of the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
